Dispatch & Enforcement
Emergency Management
Pleasant Grove’s Emergency Management coordinator supports the city by coordinating and directing all resources before, during and after major disasters and emergencies through preparation, planning, mitigation, response and recovery.
The C.E.R.T. program is two-fold. It is designed to prepare for and respond to the needs of yourself, your family and your neighbors in a catastrophic disaster situation and to also act as an extension of emergency services in such an event.
Here is some information on preparing for winter storms:

CERT VISION: The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster
preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster
response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization,
and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during
exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following
an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT
members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more
active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community. If you would like
to know more about CERT and the training that is offered please feel free to take
the free IS-317 INTRODUCTION TO CERT on-line training course by following the link below. This Introduction to CERT is
to help you prepare for the classroom-based CERT Basic Training Course. http://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=is-317
