Pleasant Grove Swim Team
Would you like to improve your swim stroke and participate in competitive swim meets?
The Pleasant Grove Swim Team may be for you! Come be a part of the Pleasant Grove Summer Swim Team. It is a great opportunity to be involved in a fun learning atmosphere and to be part of a team. We focus on sportsmanship, teamwork, endurance, and goal achievement. Team size is limited so sign up early. Swim team registration for residents will begin at 4pm on Monday, May 7, 2018 (No online & must bring city bill for proof of residence) at the Pleasant Grove Pool (There will be NO online registration. You can come into the Pool that day beginning at 8:00 am to get a wrist band to hold your spot when you come back for registration at 4pm). Registration for non-residents will begin at 4pm on Tuesday, May 8 2018 (Online or at the pool)
Cost
Residents: $100
Non-Residents: $120
Tryouts
Swimmers 11 years of age and up must be proficient, and able to swim 50 yards in all 4 competitive swim strokes. Swimmers 10 and under must be proficient, and able to swim 25 yards in two of the four competitive swim strokes. Strokes include Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. All others should sign up for swimming lessons until proficiency is acquired.
Tryouts will be held at the following times for all first year swimmers at the following times:
Thursday May 3rd:
- 10 & Under: 4:00 PM
- 11 & Up: 5:00 PM
Friday, May 4th:
- 4:00 PM (Make up day for anyone that could not make the previous)
Registration
Registrations for lessons, passes and parties will be at the swimming pool on the following days and times:
- May 7 - 11 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- May 14 - 18 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- May 21 - 25 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Remember swim team size is limited so sign up early. Returning swim team members must register in order to guarantee their spot on the team.
Practices and Meets
Practices will begin Monday, June 4th 2018 and run through the first end of July.
Practices are held Monday through Friday mornings at the following times:
- 10 & Under: 6:45 – 8:15 AM
- 11 & Up: 8:15 – 9:15 AM
Weekly swim meets will be held on Saturdays and some weeknights.
Team Meeting
Team meeting is Friday, May 18th from 7-8pm at the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center in the Multi Purpose Room. We will meet the coaches and divide into teams. Poco Loco will be there so that you may purchase equipment (swimsuits, fins, goggles, t-shirts, etc).

"Our swim team is able to keep costs low by running our swim meets and other activities with volunteers. By signing up your child for swim team, you agree that you will sign-up and complete volunteer hours for your child to participate on the swim team."
